Maintaining this block has been difficult. I either don't have the time to compose paragraphs or I'm just too lazy. Updates on facebook or twitter have been a lot easier (and more fun) to do...sooooo, what's going on?
Big news here...the czar attended "camp" without me. I dropped him off for the first of six 2.5 hour sessions. After a few moments of "you-can't-leave-you-can't-leave-mommy-don't-leave," a coach grabbed him and threw him on a mat. Then the czar had a blast. He looked for me a few times, but the coaches kept him busy. I'm proud of my little czar. Previous attempts to leave him at class or with a babysitter have been a disaster. He'd panic and scream the whole time and be clingy and untrusting with me for weeks afterwards. It took 1.5 years to be able to stay at my mom's, and he's been with her every day since he came home. It was never one of those "oh he'll get used to it" situations. It was always bad. He even had issues when I go out and he stays with his father...it's really interesting. Today is hopefully the start of something new for us. Thank God because I'm going completely batshit.
I sat in Starbucks today all my myself with a grande coffee frappuicino. It was lovely...but I did miss my baby and wonder how he was doing,
Work: less projects than usual but the projects are a lot bigger. This week I am tackling a college catalogue. It's not difficult, but it requires QUIET. I've been spending a great deal of time networking with other designers because I don't know what will happen in this field 6 months or a year down the line. I must break out of my print comfort zone and learn web...just need to find the time to do that little thing. I was in Best Buy and came across a "Build Your Own Logo" program. Why pay me when you can create your own with a $59 program? It sucks...
Potty training: Yeah, whatever.
OK, off to give the child a bath and make dinner. Italian sausage and broccoli rabe. Then work.
Enjoy some pics:
Oh Gorgeous I am so with you on the "going batshit" factor...oh the joys of mommyhood! Thank God I get a chance to have an intelligent adult conversation with you every once in a while! My dh does not get it that every once in a while this mommy needs some "quiet time" and some "adult conversation"...my next life I am coming back as a MAN!

Hey Gorgeous I enjoy your blog too too much so don't you dare contemplate stopping because I am ready to pay you to continue!!!! (and besides I don't have the foggiest idea on how to twitter!)
Oh and by the way I went to Kate's blog and wished her well...I almost signed it F.O.G aka Friend of Gorgeous.

You're a nut, Espe. I love you. And I forgot to call you back...I suck. This blog will NEVER stop. I have invested too much time in it - it's my life.

I agree that facebook is much easier to maintain than a blog. I'm glad the czar is settling into and enjoying camp though. Having that little bit of free time each day must be heavenly!
Best of luck on the work front - these are scary times.

I agree about blogging... that's why I post several ahead of time (when I'm in a creative/talkative mood). It helps for times when I either have no time or have nothing to say.
As for the pictures - cute, cute! That czar sure looks like one happy kid. Love the one with you in it! Your eyes are just gorgeous!
